Memorial Day Weekend

I know I am almost a week late on getting this post up but better late then never! We had a great Memorial Day weekend. Meme and Papaw got here on Saturday around lunch time and we headed to the Cheesecake factory for some "Lupper" and dessert. We actually at and then headed to Whole Foods to buy some gluten free groceries for Papaw. After we finished up at Whole Foods, we headed to the Apple store to look around and play. Jared and I played on the IPads while the Old Folks looked at IPhone accessories. I liked the IPad but I know that it would not last a week around this house without getting cracked or something of that sort! After we were done at the Apple store we headed back to the Cheesecake factory to pick up our dessert. I tried a new flavor cheesecake this time and it was YUMMY! I normally get the chocolate coconut one but this time I went for the red velvet cheesecake. Talk about blowing my diet! Actually, lets not talk about my diet.

Matalie fell asleep on the way home and as soon as we pulled up the ice cream truck came down our road. She immediately woke up and said to Meme and Papaw, "You hear the ice cream truck?". We have never gotten her any ice cream from the ice cream truck so of course Meme and Papaw thought that she needed some so off they went.

Sunday was also filled with lots of fun. We got up and headed to McAlisters for lunch. We were so excited to find out they opened one in Lees Summit!

Next we headed to Downtown Kansas City for Jiggle Jam. Matalie wasn't in much of a playful mood so we could have saved our $8/ticket and just walked around the mall and Union Station. The only thing she did at Jiggle Jam was played in the bubble tent for 5 minutes! We tried to put her in the water but she wasn't having it.

We had alot of fun in the mall and it was nice because it was cool unlike how it was outside! We went to the crayola store and they also had a free Clifford exhibit we went to for a few minutes.(Matalie never put her clothes back on after she played in the fountains so she walked around town the rest of the day in her swimsuit.)We bought a dry erase marker drawing pad from the crayola store with hopes that it will help Matalie learn to write her letters easier.

We stopped at the park on the way home so Matalie could burn off what little energy she had left. I think she was the only one with any energy left!

We had a fun and very busy weekend! We were so glad Meme and Papaw were able to come visit.
